Please see below The Cake Corners terms and conditions. The Cake Corner reserves the the right to change or amend these at any given time to align with the business. Your non refundable deposit is confirmation that you have read and accept these terms.
Terms and Conditions
Deposits and Payments

The date of the event is considered “booked” upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit equaling 50% of the total value of the cake and signed contract. There is a £10 deposit charge for orders under £50.

The final payment is due 7 days prior to event.
-
If the cake is booked 14 days or less before the reception, the cake must be paid in full.
-
If the Client fails to make payments, The Cake Corner will cease work, the order will be cancelled and no refund will be given.
-
Preferred methods of payment are bank transfer.
-
The Client will have a grace period of 1 day after the payment date to pay debt before the contract is cancelled.
-
Late payments will be charged a £5 fee.
-
If you do not pay the fees you will not be able to book again with The Cake Corner.

Orders placed with 14 days or less notice will be required to pay in full.
-
Orders requested with 7 days or less notice will unfortunately have a high chance of being declined due to unavailability.
Liability
-
The Cake Corner is not responsible for bodily injury, property or consequential damage, which may result from services.

The Cake Corner is not responsible for any damage to the cake or shortage of cake caused by anyone NOT employed by The Cake Corner.

The Cake Corner will not deliver or hand over a cake if payments have not been paid in full.
Fulfillment of Contract
-
The Cake Corner is not responsible for any delay or inability to deliver based on accidents, natural disasters, transportation issues, inclement weather, illness, death, labour troubles, delay in supplies, disputes or strikes, or any other circumstance beyond The Cake Corner’s control.

If The Cake Corner has completed the cake but it can’t be delivered due to uncontrollable circumstances, the Client will be refunded 100% of the total cost.

If Client picks up the cake, The Cake Corner no longer assumes any responsibility for damage caused to it.
Postponement/Cancellation
-
The Client must notify The Cake Corner if there is a change in the date of the event or a complete cancellation.
-
If the postponement occurs before 7 days of the event, no penalty fee will be charged.
-
If the postponement occurs after 7 days prior to the event, the Client will be charged a £10 fee.
-
If a cancellation occurs 14 days prior to the date of the event, all money will be refunded minus the deposit.
-
If a cancellation occurs after 7 days prior to the event, 50% will be refunded minus the deposit.
-
If you do not pay the fees you will not be able to book again with The Cake Corner.
Changes to Order
-
Any changes must be submitted 14 days in advance.
-
There will be no changes allowed 13 days prior to the event.
Design of the Cake
-
The Cake Corner will follow the Client’s requests closely to create the exact cake desired.
-
The Cake Corner cannot duplicate an exact copy of another cake artist’s work but will ensure the look is similar.
Serving Amount & Sizes
-
Serving size estimations are not guaranteed to be exact.
-
The Cake Corner is not responsible for a shortage of cake if the pieces are cut too large.

Late Pick up
-
If you are more than 30 minutes late you will be charged a £5 fee.
-
If you are more than 1 hour late to collect, you will be charged £10 and I will cancel your collection and rearrange at a time that is convenient to me.

No shows will not receive any refund.

If you do not pay the fees you will not be able to book again with The Cake Corner.

Allergy & Dietary Warnings

The Cake Corner’s baked goods may have come in contact with the following ingredients:

There may be more depending on the final recipe/decoration of the products

Natural dyes, artificial dyes, artificial flavorings, sugar, artificial sweeteners, artificial colour and other allergens not listed.

The Client is responsible for pointing out to guests potential allergy hazards

The client is responsible for alerting The Cake Corner of any allergies.
-
As I am a home baker, I work in a non allergen free environment. I cannot guarantee that there will be no allergens in your product.
Delivery and Set Up
-
The Client will pick up the cake. The Client assumes liability once it passes into the Client’s possession.
-
The Client is responsible for providing a suitable environment for the cake (away from heaters, vibrations, people, suitable surface, suitable outdoor setting).
-
Unless you point out upon collection of your cake any decorative problems, leaving with the cake is you agreeing that the condition of the cake is satisfactory.

Once collected, The Cake Corner is not responsible for cake including collapse, melting, pokes etc.
Photographs
-
The Cake Corner reserves the right to use all photographs of the cake for advertising purposes. Please let me know if you would like me to wait a day or two before posting.
Returns and refunds
-
Once you have paid your deposit, you are agreeing that you are happy with your product, there are no returns or refunds unless exceptional circumstances.

If the cake has been eaten, this will also be taken as acceptance and no refund will be given.
-
Refunds will only be made if the cake is returned uneaten. As each order is made to order I cannot sell this on at full price, therefore the refund you will receive will be of resale value only.
-
Refunds can take up to 30 days.
